Namibian sports anchor Jessica Kaimu is trending on Twitter – but for all the wrong reasons!

On live television, NBC Namibia News presenter Elmarie Kapunda can be seen talking about a boxing match before turning to sports presenter Jessica Kaimu to pick up the story.

However, viewers cringed as Kaimu interrupted her introduction saying,  “No. We are not going to do that. You’re just going to greet me and say 'take it away'.”

There was an awkward pause before Kaimu is told, “Jessica. We’re live.” This was followed by an uncomfortable silence before the producers hastily cut to a commercial.
