A video doing the rounds on social media showing a man cramped into a supermarket trolley while holding onto the back of a fuel tanker traveling at speed down the N1 highway in Gauteng, is to be investigated by the police.
The clip posted on the Twitter feed of well-known anti-crime activist Yusaf Abramjee has since gone viral and shows the trolley rider waving and even smiling at passing motorists.
According to Sowetanlive the number plate of the tanker is visible but it is unclear when the footage was recorded.
On Monday Gauteng traffic police spokesperson Sello Maremane said authorities would be investigating the incident.
