Vincent Park artwork a fitting tribute to triumphant Springboks

In celebration of the epic 2023 World Cup Rugby win by the unstoppable Springboks, the mall has unveiled a hand-painted wall mural of four of the Eastern Cape’s star players.

In honor of their achievement, the images of Siya Kolisi, Lukhanyo Am, Makazole Drex Mapimpi, and Jaden Hendrikse, were created by architect and street artist Nathan Sanan, who has painted murals across the Eastern Cape.

The caption said: 'This is OUR team! They’ve each walked their own path- the players, coaches, and support team- and shared a dream that has shown us what we can achieve TOGETHER.

Our mural celebrates our winning Springboks team and their achievement. We depict specifically the sons of Buffalo City - those who were born here and who have walked our streets. And our captain, whose leadership is an inspiration to all of us"

The mural was completed in time for the Springbok World Cup trophy tour to East London on the 5th of November.
