Elon Musk has lost out on his bid to delay Twitter's lawsuit against him until 2023.
Earlier this month Twitter announced that it was going to sue the business magnate for reneging on his over R746 billion bid to buy the social media platform hiring top Delaware law firm Wachtell, Lipton Rosen & Katz to handle the matter.
Musk wants to walk away from the deal because he alleges that the company lied about the number of fake accounts, also known as bots, on its site, a claim Twitter denies.
The bid has been rejected by a US judge who has now set a trial for this October.
