Trouble on the set of Tropika TV

Earlier this month Minnie Dlamini resigned from SABC 1 as a Soccer Zone host. Shortly post her resignation, she jetted off to the Seychelles to fulfil her duties as a host for the reality tv show, Tropika. It turns that everything hasn't gone as tropical as her IG posts implied.

The speed bump occurred when Dlamini discovered that she was not the sole host of the reality tv show. In a statement to Sunday World, Dlamini had the following to say: "Cardova and Tropika offered me the sole hosting position of the upcoming season which I signed on for. I specifically asked not to be considered if they were looking for two presenters. Then last minute they wanted to introduce a co-host which I refused as per the initial agreement. There was conflict on the island as a result."

Once she arrived at the filming destination, Dlamini says she was surprised at the sudden introduction to her co-host, Top Billing host, Jonathan Boyton-Lee. Dlamini claims that she was under the impression that she would be the host and that Boyton-Lee would be the 'games-master'. However, insiders state that Jonathan was told that he would be a co-host. The producers of the show failed to share this with Dlamini.

To add fuel to the fire, Dlamini was further disappointed by the producers of the show when she was denied the accompaniment of a social media assistant. Tswelopele Production's legal manager responded to this by stating that Dlamini requested a hair stylist and someone to do her social media. The hair stylist request was granted. The social media assistant was not necessary since there was already someone assigned to do that.
