Tributes poured in on Monday for South African actor, Sello Motloung, who has died at the age of 53.
According to reports, his family said he passed away on Sunday.
He was well-known for his roles in television series that included Backstage, Mamello, and Ring of Lies.
Actor Spaces said announced the news in a post on Instagram.
"We are devastated to inform you of the sudden passing of Ntate Sello Motloung on Sunday 15 September. His family is in shock and we ask that you give them space at this time.
"Sello will forever be remembered as one of our legends and we will miss him tremendously," the post said.
Actress,radio DJ and TV presenter Katlego Danke said that it was proving to be a very difficult year, one filled with pain and loss.
"I suppose we also have to remind ourselves of the gift and true celebration of life. Sello…my brother, my friend… I will miss you. I can’t believe I’m saying these words but RIP," she wrote on X.
