Trevor Noah walked away with the Best Host award at the MTV Movie and TV Awards on Sunday night, at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
Noah accepted the golden popcorn trophy award and dedicated it to his mother Patricia Nombuyiselo Noah.
"She is a powerful, strong black woman who didn't listen when they told me she couldn't be more."
He went on to thank his staff at The Daily Show and President Donald Trump:
"Thank you to Donald J. Trump for the comedy."
Noah had tough competition as he was nominated among Ellen DeGeneres, John Olivier, RuPaul and Samantha Bee in the Best Host category.
