Tori Spelling and Dean McDermott had to start their marriage over following his cheating scandal in 2013.Tori and Dean wed in 2006, but their marriage was rocked seven years later when Dean was accused of cheating on her with Emily Goodhand. In 2014, he entered rehab to treat "health and personal issues" and he said in a statement, "I am truly sorry for the mistakes I have made and for the pain I've caused my family." The events were covered in docu-series True Tori. After working on their marriage, Dean pledged his love to the former Beverly Hills, 90210 star once again by proposing to her in Paris in April (16) surrounded by their kids.
The couple is now expecting its fifth child next year (17) and couldn't be happier. "We're in such a good place going into this pregnancy," she tells People magazine. "We're not just still here, but we're bonded and solidified as a couple.""Everything crashed (three years ago)," she adds. "We had to start over. We had to completely rebuild... We made the conscious decision based on our love for each other to tough it out and work through it. It was one of the worst times in our lives, but it was also one of the best times.
I wouldn't change anything because if we hadn't started talking and opened up those lines of communication, maybe we wouldn't be here today."And despite all the pain Tori and Dean experienced following the cheating scandal, the 43-year-old insists she never thought divorce was an option."I feel like people take marriage too lightly in this day and age," she says. "Sometimes things happen in life and they're mistakes, but love doesn't just turn off. That's not how our hearts work. I want our kids to know one day that we stuck it out and worked through it.""Everyone has ups and downs, but I'm so madly in love with my husband and our family," she continues. "Adding to it is such a blessing."
