The fake cocaine Jonah Hill snorted while shooting The Wolf of Wall Street put him in the hospital for three weeks. The actor reveals he developed bronchitis as a result of his bogus drug taking.
"I had to be hospitalised," Jonah told Any Given Wednesday host Bill Simmons, revealing the 'cocaine' he snorted on camera was actually vitamin powder.
"If you ingest that much matter into you lungs you'll get very sick, and we were just literally doing fake coke for, like, seven months, every day. I never had more vitamin D in my entire life; I could have lifted a car over my f**king head!"Hill plays a drug abuser again in his new movie War Dogs, but he insists he never reverts to the real thing to play high for a scene."It's interesting pretending to be on drugs," he explains. "I use music. I'll make a playlist for every scene, so I'll try to make, like, music that (made me feel) jittery and chaotic... and then just drink a tonne of coffee and Red Bull. "It seems Jonah continues to suffer from his The Wolf of Wall Street role, as co-star Leonardo DiCaprio recently pulled an epic prank on his pal.The buddies had arranged to meet up in New York's West Village neighbourhood at the start of the month, and Leo decided to have some fun with his friend before giving him a proper hello by pretending to be an overzealous fan, eager for a close-up picture of the movie star. He startled the 32-year-old, who recoiled in shock before realising the street snapper was just cheeky Leo."It was funny! I was totally taken off guard," Hill previously confessed to Entertainment Tonight of the incident. "I was scared s**tless!"
