The Old Man & the gun is a new movie release written and produced by David Lowery, based on the book with the same title, written by David Grann.
Lead roles include top names such as Robert Redford, Casey Affleck, and Danny Glover.
The story follows a 70-year-old man named Forrest Tucker, played by Redford, who escapes from San Quentin and conducts an unprecedented string of heists that confound authorities and enchant the public. Rookie detective John Hunt, played by Affleck, who pursuits Tucker becomes wrapped up in Forrest's commitment to his craft, and a woman, played by Sissy Spacek, who loves him in spite of his chosen profession.
