We are still a year away from the official movie release of the reboot of one of Walt Disney's most iconic and beloved classics, The Lion King.
Only due for release in July of next year, the first teaser trailer is just enough to whet your appetite! The short clip is narrated by James Earl Jones, who reprises his original role of Mufasa . Directed by Jon Favreau, the remake will feature the voices of Donald Glover, Beyoncé, Seth Rogan and Keegan Michael Key. And of course, our very own John Kani is playing the part of Rafiki.
The Lion King won an Academy Award and Golden Globe for the best original soundtrack and the good news is that four of the best-loved songs ever from the original - Can You Feel the Love Tonight, Hakuna Matata, I Just Can't Wait to Be King and Circle of Life - will be included in the new version.
