For the first time ever, the Globe Theatre is to live stream a Shakespeare play. If the Bard is your thing, then make sure you log onto the Shakespeare Lives website on September the 11th.
If you do, you will have your very own front row seat as you get to watch a live performance of ?A Midsummer Night?s Dream? , streamed directly from the famous Globe Theatre on the bank?s of the River Thames. This newly built theatre is known as Shakespeare?s Globe and is a complete replica of the original Globe Theatre. It opened back in 1997, and since then it has become one of London?s greatest tourist attractions.
There is no doubt that this is a landmark event, it is the juxtaposition of two worlds, the historical accuracy of the Globe Theatre in all its glory,becoming part of an online digital happening.
