Microsoft said Wednesday that it will be unveiling a new version of its front runner Windows software on June 24, an update that Chief Executive Officer Satya Nadella has described as one of the “most significant” upgrades to the personal computer operating system this decade.
Labeling it “the next generation of Windows”, Nadella has said there will be major enhancements to the PC operating system for both developers and creators.
During his keynote address at a recent Microsoft virtual conference, he teased the upgrade saying, “Soon we will share one of the most significant updates of Windows of the past decade to unlock greater economic opportunity for developers and creators.. I’ve been self-hosting it over the past several months, and I’m incredibly excited about the next generation of Windows.”
