Taylor Swift beats U2, Lady Gaga, Adele to be named biggest earner of 2012

Taylor Swift has been revealed as the biggest earner of 2011 by US music industry bible Billboard.
The country-pop singer raked in a colossal $35.7 million during 2011, including personal earnings of $29.8 million from her 'Speak Now' world tour.
U2, who completed their record breaking 360° world tour in the summer, were second with $32.2 million, with country singer Kenny Chesney in third place with earnings of $29.8 million.
Lady Gaga was fourth with $25.3 million, with rapper Lil Wayne in fifth place with $23.2 million and soul veteran Sade in sixth position with $16.4 million.
Bon Jovi were seventh with $15.8 million, with Celine Dion at eight with $14.3 million, country singer Jason Aldean at nine with $13.4 million and Adele rounding off the Top 10 with $13.1 million.
Elton John, Katy Perry, the cast of Glee and Journey all narrowly missed out on the Top 10.
