Steve Hofmeyr has hit out at fellow South African, Charlize Theron, over her recent revelation to the media that her son identifies as a girl.
In speaking to the Daily Mail about the gender of her adopted child Jackson, Charlize said: “I thought she was a boy, too, until she looked at me when she was three years’ old and said: I am not a boy!”
Charlize went on to say that it was not up to her to decide what gender her child identified as. In previous interviews, she has said that Jackson would throw tantrums if he was not allowed to wear girl's clothing until eventually, she gave in.
Steve took the opportunity to take a swipe at the star on his Twitter account with a somewhat mocking tweet that asked Charlize for “advice” on raising his daughter.
The tweet has sparked mixed reactions from his fans.
