Steve Harvey and Fremantle have announced that they are developing a South African version of the hugely popular game show Family Feud.
Harvey has hosted the American version of the game show since 2010 and during his time at the helm, ratings have gone through the roof.
The show follows the original format created by Mark Goodson way back in the seventies, two families compete to name the most popular responses to survey questions in order to win cash and prizes.
Family Feud won the 2019 Daytime Emmy Award for both Outstanding Game Show and Outstanding Directing for a Game Show.
Harvey is also on track to becoming the longest-serving host in the history of the Family Feud series.
Here is a taste of what we can expect from Steve himself as he tells the tale of how he got the gig.
Here's the story of how I got the 'Family Feud' gig. The truth is I say exactly what Y'all are thinking at the house. Someone gives a crazy answer, I call it crazy ??????You know some of these responses are just too crazy "ain't no way in hell" it's on the board ????????? pic.twitter.com/paK4ZAKYPe
