Statue of Chris Cornell unveiled at Seattle Museum

A life-size, bronze statue of Soundgarden's late singer and guitarist, Chris Connell has been unveiled at the Seattle Museum of Pop Culture.

Cornell's widow, Vicky Cornell, commissioned the piece and donated it to the museum - their three children were also in attendance.

The statue which depicts Cornell in his typical poses with his signature boots, dog tag, and long hair was created by artist Nick Marra.

Soundgarden members Matt Cameron, Kim Thayil, Ben Shepard and Pearl Jam's Jeff Ament attended the unveiling.

Cornell died in May 2017. The cause of death was ruled as suicide.
