Streaming giant Spotify has announced South Africa’s top-charting artists, albums, songs, playlists, and podcasts streamed on their platform for 2019.
This is what South Africa listened to this past year.
According to “Wrapped”, Shekhinah was the most streamed local female artist in SA in 2019 with Lady Zamar following in second place, while Afrikaans rock singer Karen Zoid claimed the third position.
Amapiano's Kabza De Small topped the list of the most streamed South African artists on Spotify in SA, followed by DJ Maphorisa and rapper Nasty C in third place.
Black Coffee and David Guetta's Drive held on to its position as the most-streamed song. Fetch Your Life by Prince Kaybee and Msaki came in second with Dames by Biggy taking up the third spot.
Hollywood 's Bleeding by Post Malone was the most streamed album while Sunflower by Malone and SwaeLee was the most streamed track of 2019 in South Africa
