In partnership with British artist Damien Hirst Snapchat has launched a new special edition lens that enables users to create a spin painting in which is based on the style that Hirst made very popular back in the nineties.
The lens enables the user to pour out different colours onto the canvas while it is spinning, enabling the user to create the own unique effect on their final product.
The spin process proved to be popular when Hirst invited gallery visitors to create their own spin painting so that it can be popular and now it has become a new lens feature.
Users will be prompted to donate to the Partner in Health as this whole collaboration is created to raise funds which will support public health systems in less fortunate communities.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic Snapchat couldn’t pull through with the original idea they intended to have the collaboration to be a part of a museum exhibition. Instead they found a new way users can do it in the comfort of their homes and be safe while doing so.
