Songstress Simphiwe Dana is not alone in her contempt for Mzansi Magic’s reality show Mnakwethu. She has joined a long list of haters on social media who are complaining that the show demeans women and depicts them simply as objects for sale by the men on the show.
Simphiwe went as far as to say that the show blatantly humiliated women and also said that the show's host, Musa Mseleku, seemed to be obsessed with belittling females. In a series of tweets she cursed and used strong language to describe how she felt saying that while she was not against polygamy per se, she was against this version of it.
The show is described on the Mazansi Magic website as “an emotional, and empowering reality show that gives married men a chance to overpower the fear of introducing polygamy to his current wife/s.”
There has been no response from Mzansi Magic as yet.
