Music mogul, Simon Cowell is set to sign a deal worth ?up to ?150million? to keep Britain?s Got Talent and X Factor going for another three years. Helping to seal the deal, after months of intensive talks, is the return of old favourites, Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh, Nicole Scherzinger and host Dermot O?Leary.
Cowell?s team dug in their heels as ITV channel bosses tried to secure both shows for millions less than they pay already. An insider revealed that all sides are happy and the new deal has been agreed. It just had to be signed off. Simon is going back to basics, bringing back the old guns. Even though Cowell, aged 56, is believed to have taken a cut in his own?25million three-year arrangement, he insists keeping the show on air mattered more than his wallet.
