Showmax has launched a live sport streaming trial in South Africa, allowing randomly selected customers the opportunity to watch live sport on their platform.
According to their twitter feed they have also added some pre-recorded sport content as part of the trial. Those selected for the trial will be able to watch live South Africa ICC Cricket World Cup games, extended highlights, SuperSport magazine and talk shows as well as sport-focused movies and documentaries.
Showmax users can see if they have access to the sport trial by looking for the “Sport” option on the main navigation bar, after series and movies.
Showmax also said that there were no plans to offer full bouquets of sport at the moment.
