Sharon Osbourne was hospitalised for a psychiatric breakdown last year (15).Ozzy Osbourne's wife took a five-week hiatus from co-hosting her U.S. daytime chat show The Talk last year and when she returned for season six, she thought she would be ready to discuss her absence, but she wasn't.Now in control of her issues, she hopes that by speaking out about mental health she can help others suffering from the same problems. "I had a complete and utter breakdown," she said on the show on Monday (12Sep16). "I woke up in Cedars Sinai hospital and probably for three days, I knew nothing."I couldn't think," she continued. "I couldn't talk, I couldn't do nothing.
My brain just shut down on me..."The 63-year-old goes on to explain she was juggling too many things at once and she simply couldn't handle everything. "My brain just totally fused, and I couldn't cope with anything," she added. "My family put me into a facility, and in this facility, they diagnose you, there's therapists, there's psychiatrists and you do a lot of group therapy."And the group therapy, which was at a different facility, was especially helpful for Sharon because the therapists were able to make her realise she needed to slow down."I was doing too much of everything, thinking that I'm superwoman," she said.Sharon is now taking medication and continuing her therapy, while revealing meditation has been an effective way to deal with stress."If you have a bad leg, you tell everybody you have a bad leg," she continued. "I just have a bad head." The revelation comes months after Sharon and Ozzy hit headlines in May (16), when it was reported she had kicked him out of their Los Angeles mansion amid rumours of infidelity. They later reconciled, and last month (Aug16), Ozzy confessed to battling sex addiction, admitting he had been unfaithful to Sharon with other women, including Los Angeles-based hairdresser Michelle Pugh.
