THE creators of children’s TV show Sesame Street are suing the makers of a puppet-based film filled with sex, drugs and violence.
The Happytime Murders, uses the tagline: ‘No Sesame. All Street.’ The children’s show say the phrase tarnishes its brand and has now launched a lawsuit in the US against movie company STX Productions LLC.
The crime comedy, released later this year, stars Melissa McCarthy and is directed by Brian Henson, whose late father Jim helped launch Sesame Street in 1969 and later created the Muppets.
