What would the holiday season be without a feel-good Christmas movie? Save the date! This December, kykNET is celebrating with a festive film seen through the eyes of children – Desemberdiewe is a feature film for the whole family to enjoy.
Written and directed by Carla Smith, it debuts on Saturday 17 December at 20:00 on kykNET, (DStv Channel 144) and stars several much-loved actors such as June van Merch, Roeline Daneel, Charlton George, Lida Botha, and Marvin-Lee Beukes, as well as three exciting young newcomers in the form of Judi Hattingh, Juan-Christoff Smith and Blake Pharo.
Desemberdiewe tells the story of eleven-year-old mischievous Jo (Judi Hattingh) who needs to learn how to be good, even when no one is watching. It is summer in South Africa and having just moved to a small town with her mom, Retha (Roeline Daneel), Jo would do anything to be anywhere else than where she is!
Themes of kindness, friendship, and generosity, as well as loneliness and hardship, are all part of this heart-warming holiday film.
