Sarah Harding’s autobiography covers brave cancer battle

Sarah Harding

The autobiography Hear Me Out is the story of how the British star bravely faced the challenge of being diagnosed with breast cancer, undergoing a mastectomy, and then chemotherapy treatment before her tragic death from the dreaded disease at the age of 39.

In a message shared via the singer's official Instagram account, Sarah’s mother Marie shared the news of her passing on September 5th saying that her daughter had died peacefully in her sleep at home.

She wrote: "It's with deep heartbreak that today I'm sharing the news that my beautiful daughter Sarah has sadly passed away. Many of you will know of Sarah’s battle with cancer and that she fought so strongly from her diagnosis until her last day. She slipped away peacefully this morning. I’d like to thank everyone for their kind support over the past year. It meant the world to Sarah and it gave her great strength and comfort to know she was loved. I know she won’t want to be remembered for her fight against this terrible disease – she was a bright shining star and I hope that’s how she can be remembered instead.

Harding revealed her diagnosis in August 2020, telling her fans that she'd been battling the disease for several months with weekly chemotherapy sessions. In a bid to prolong her life, she eventually underwent a mastectomy.

Hear Me Out, was published in March this year and recounts the challenges she and her mother faced together while she was receiving treatment. According to the Expressuk Sarah had admitted to ‘ having found solace in the possibility of dying before her mum”.
