After just 45 minutes of performing to an enthusiastic Cape Town crowd, 26-year-old Sam Smith was forced to leave the stage due to vocal strain.
Event organisers, Big Concerts, were quick to post a statement on their Twitter account saying, “Sam Smith's CPT concert tonight has been cancelled. Unfortunately, Sam Smith took strain to his voice & had to stop his performance."
