Tributes have been pouring in from all over South Africa after the news that veteran actor Danny Keogh has died at 71.
Danny was previously married to actress Michele Burgers, he was also the father of acclaimed actor Tyrone Keogh.
Danny was a stalwart on the South African theatre scene, having been a founder member of the Market Theatre in Johannesburg. But it was through both the small screen and the silver screen that he was to find global recognition. His many roles include the South African TV series Binnelanders , M-Net's Known Gods as well as several American drama series filmed in South Africa like Black Sails, Of Kings and Prophets and Dominion.
His list of movie credits includes Clint Eastwood’s Invictus and Starship Troopers 3: Marauder to mention but a few.
The cause of his death has not yet been revealed. His son took to Instagram to express his sadness at the loss of his father.
