From the dusty streets of Sebokeng, Johannesburg, to a global stage, Motha captured the hearts of viewers the world over when he performed on Britain’s Got Talent and earned himself the first ever group Golden Buzzer.

This automatically took him through to the finale, a finale in which the winning accolade went to Norwegian comedian Viggo Venn.

In a heartfelt post shared with his followers, Motha has opened up about feeling as though he failed the world after not winning Britain’s Got Talent.

He wrote: “In life we focus more on the future and don’t realise we are in the middle of what we prayed for. Just last night I was avoiding checking my socials because I felt like I have failed the world by not winning the @bgt even not making it to the top 3/2,,,”

He went on to say that he has come to realise how blessed he is, having been able to reach so many people through the show. His post also shared the news of being awarded the Emerging Artist nod in the UK’s annual National Dance Awards competition.

Initially, 10 finalists battled it out at the Hammersmith Appolo on June 4, they were: comedian Viggo, dancer Musa Motha, singer Amy Lou Smith, singer Travis George, dancer Lilliana Clifton, magician Cillian O'Connor, opera singer Malakai Bayoh, acrobats Duo Odyssey, singer Olivia Lynes and dance group Ghetto Kids to get wit

Whittled down to a top three, Viggo went on to beat 13-year-old dancer Lilliana Clifton, and 14-year-old magician Cillian O'Connor to the title.

Despite not winning, It is probably safe to say that Mzansi’s Musa Motha is now a household name.
