Try as she may to excuse the inexcusable, Roseanne Barr just seems to be digging an even deeper grave for herself with every new comment or tweet she makes.
And among those many tweets to try and defend the indefensible, one tweet in particular caught the attention of the twitter world, and that was that the sleeping tablet she had taken, which goes by the brand name ambien, had made her do it! So, let’s get this straight, she is claiming that a prescription medication to help fight insomnia made her write : “muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby = vj,” in reference to former Obama administration aide Valerie Jarrett.
The tweet about the sleeping table appears to have since been deleted after a slew of comments in retaliation expressed utter disbelief and anger, with many also ridiculing the comedian .
Sanofi, the French pharmaceutical company that manufactures the drug, has since issued a statement saying quite simply : No, Ambien doesn’t cause racism.
Somehow Roseanne it does not look like you are going to win this one…. or get your show back on ABC.
