Rob Kardashian is relocating to New York after purchasing a family home in the state. The 29-year-old reality star was born in Los Angeles and has lived in the California region ever since. He has previously lived in his mother Kris Jenner's house, his own flat, with his sister Khloe Kardashian and her estranged husband Lamar Odom and most recently with his pregnant fiancee Blac Chyna. But on Monday (12Sep16), Rob made the surprise announcement that he has made the decision to relocate to the other side of the country, after purchasing a huge home in New York. Sharing an aerial shot of his soon-to-be-home, Rob tweeted: "Just closed the deal on my new house and can't wait to move out of CALI ? (sic) AMERICA!!!!!"The nine-bedroom, eight-bathroom home is in Southampton - a village which makes up part of the Hamptons - an hour and a half's drive away from New York's JFK Airport.
The move will also be seen by many as a bid to distance himself from his family, who all live in California and have taken some time to come around to Rob's relationship with Chyna, who has a son with Tyga, the boyfriend of Rob's half-sister Kylie Jenner. However, Rob also purchased a $2.285 million (?1.7 million) property in the same gated community in Calabasas, California, as Kris, Kim, Khloe and Kourtney earlier this year (16), suggesting he and Chyna may be planning to split their time between states when their daughter makes her arrival. The pair revealed their baby's gender during the premiere of their new reality show Rob & Chyna on Sunday night (11Sep16), when they headed to Chyna's gynaecologist for a scan.Speaking to the doctor before the sonogram, Rob said: "I'm pretty nervous... I'm excited. I really want a boy." But after being told they are having a girl, Rob appeared to be struggling with his emotions, telling Chyna: "Oh, that's crazy!""Me wanting to have a boy stems from my relationship with my dad," Rob told the camera later in the episode. "I'm just happy that the baby's healthy and I am super happy I am having a girl."
