It’s official – with a net worth estimated at R24.4 billion, Rihanna has become the richest female musician in the world, but her music alone is not where her all wealth comes from.
Madeline Berg writes for Forbes magazine, “When Robyn Fenty, known to the world as Rihanna, launched Fenty Beauty in 2017, she sought to create a cosmetics company that made “women everywhere (feel) included.” A perhaps unintended consequence: The beauty line has helped her enter one of the world’s most exclusive ranks: Billionaire”.
The Barbados-born beauty and powerhouse of talent has also capitalized on her social media clout—she has 101 million followers on Instagram and 102.5 million on Twitter— they have been a major influence in the building of her beauty brand.
According to the magazine, the rest of Rihanna's wealth comes from her share of the Savage x Fenty lingerie company and her income as a performer.
As their Instagram post announcing her billionaire status said, "she is now second only to Oprah Winfrey as the richest female entertainer in the world."
