Rebel Wilson disables comments on Instagram after death threats

The Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) are looking into death threats received by actress Rebel Wilson on social media. The Pitch Perfect star confirmed the FBI were looking into the matter and she admits she has been forced to shut down the comments section on her Instagram page after receiving death threats.According to editors at The Mirror, the Australian star posted: "Just letting you guys know that my comments are temporarily suspended because of death threats I recently received.

The FBI is currently investigating.?The message has now been deleted. Rebel joins a growing list of female comics who have received hateful messages in recent months. Ghostbusters star Leslie Jones shut down her Twitter account after receiving racist messages, and Trainwreck star Amy Schumer has called her death threats "scary", but says they just make her want to speak out more.Earlier this year, Rebel was targeted with hateful messages by One Direction fans after she got close to Harry Styles on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.Fans accused the curvy blonde comic of "sexually assaulting" 22-year-old Harry and Rebel confessed she faced a severe backlash by 1D fans after it aired."Basically I got accused of sexually assaulting Harry Styles. These little girls, I think they're about 12 - very, very unhappy with that," she told E! Online at the time. "Basically, we're just like two professional entertainers having a good time, and he really enjoyed it.?And, I told them that on Twitter, and then they just sent me more death threats."
