Rami Malek to play Queen's Freddie Mercury in biopic

The movie about the flamboyant star, which has been in development for eight years, may start shooting in early 2017.

Bryan Singer, who has been in talks about taking the director's chair; posted a picture of the band on his Instagram page, along with a series of hashtags including #bohemianrhapsody, #queen, #freddiemercury, #brianmay, #rogertaylor and #johndeacon.  He added: "Looking forward to @ramimalek playing #Freddie."
