The Beautiful Girls star has been hit with a lawsuit by bosses at a New York based company, Aqua Master, claiming that Kingston picked out nine pieces of their high-end jewellery worth more than R4.3 million.
According to the jeweler, Kingston?s business manager promised to wire money for the outstanding bill, but instead, he received two cheques, both of which bounced. In the suit obtained byTMZ.com, the plaintiff points out that Kingston even flaunted the two diamond necklaces, gold chains, a ring, bracelet and two watches on his Instagram account. Kingston has a history of being sued for unpaid bling. In March, owners of Haimov Jewelers in Florida, filed a similar suit, claiming the star traded in a used Rolex watch in exchange for a new one, and had signed a receipt promising to pay off the difference the following day. However, he allegedly still owed the store the R360 000 balance for the watch, plus the cost of a diamond bracelet, which he also promised payment for. In 2015, he was ordered to pay over R5 million to New York-based Avid 'Da Jeweler' Davidov for failing to pay for watches, chains, a ring and bracelets between 2008 and 2013, and then attempting to cover the debt with cheques that bounced.
