Local Durban musician, Prince Kaybee, was one of the first celebrities to pledge financial support for the victims of the devastating Durban floods.
Taking to social media on Tuesday he told of his generous donation of R150 00 to the families who have been left homeless in Umlazi Township, Durban after flash flooding destroyed countless homes and left 51 people dead. He went on to challenge other South Africans to donate to help rebuild Umlazi.
Bonang Matheba ,Tumi Sole,Khanyi Mbau,Somizi and AKA are some of the other SA celebrities who have offered their support via social media.
The flash floods and heavy rains in the province since Sunday have displaced over a 1,000 people.
