Today marks the 70th birthday of England’s Prince Charles and in celebration, there has been a special photo shoot of some of the royal family members which was then of course posted on the Clarence House Twitter page. How times have changed.

So what do the royals get up to on a special day like today? The afternoon will be spent with a group of septuagenarians linked to Prince Charles' and Camilla's favourite charities, there will, of course, be tea and cake. Apparently, in the evening, there will be a rather glamourous but private affair.
The Prince has much to say after having lived for three score years and ten, of grave concern to him, is the legacy we are leaving behind for our children and grandchildren. He has released a letter that contains his concerns for the future. In the letter, one of the things he says is, "Perhaps the clearest way to understand how much is at stake, and what we might want to do, as a result, is to try to think ahead to what our grandchildren will want and need".
Happy birthday Prince Charles!
