Post Malone 'Circles' breaks record for most weeks in hot 100's top 10 Billboard

Rapper-Singer Post Malone

Post Malone's "Circles" breaks the record for the most weeks spent in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart, as it logs a 34th frame in the region.

The track, which tallied three weeks at No. 1 (one each in November, December and January), rebounds from No. 7 to No. 6 on the streaming-, airplay- and sales-based survey dated May 2.

The song was released by Republic Records, eclipses the mark that the rapper-singer already shared, via his Swae Lee collaboration "Sunflower."

Plus, as the song has logged all 34 of its weeks on the Hot 100 in the top 10, dating to its arrival at No. 7 on the Sept. 14, 2019-dated chart, it passes Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You" for the most weeks tallied in the region from a song's debut.

To-date, it has drawn 2.9 billion in cumulative radio airplay audience and 732 million U.S. streams and sold 457,000 downloads.

It additionally becomes the first title to have spent 30 weeks in the top 10 on Billboard's mainstream top 40-based Pop Songs airplay chart. The song previously led the list for 10 weeks.

‘For me, the staying power of 'Circles' is due to a combination of an absolutely addicting, fun, emotional, and at the same time, non-fatiguing hook, combined with relatable lyrics,’ R Dub, XHTZ (Z90) San Diego director of programming, recently told Billboard.‘ Who can't relate to going in circles in so many aspects of life? Young, old, rich, poor, black, white … we're all going through it.

‘It's a song I still turn up and vibe to every time it comes on, like it's only my third or fourth listen," he said. ‘I can't get enough of it, and I'm thinking I'm not alone.’
