Police Academy Star Marion Ramsay passes on
Marion Ramsay, instantly recognisable for playing the soft-spoken Officer Laverne Hooks in the Police Academy comedy films, has passed away at 73.
Ramsey passed away in Los Angeles, California, according to Daily Mail her cause of death is not yet known to the media.
Ramsay appeared in all six Police Academy films during the eighties, her soft and squeaky-voiced delivery catapulting her to fame on the silver screen. While many of her fans will only know her from the Police Academy movies, she also had an illustrious Broadway career.
The movie franchise, costarring Steve Guttenberg and George Gaynes, is still one of Hollywood’s most popular around the globe.
