Orlando Bloom’s beloved dog Mighty, a gift from Katy Perry several years ago, went missing somewhere near Montecito, California over a week ago. Bloom took to social media to plead for help in finding the dog writing,” I don’t recall a time in my life where I’ve been so broken wide open. The rawness I have felt over these past few days and sleepless nights at the idea of my little man being lost and scared, with me unable to do anything to protect him, is a waking nightmare”.
“I feel powerless... maybe like so many others who are losing loved ones or unable to see our loved ones because of the times”.
Bloom who is currently expecting his first child with fiancée Katy Perry went on to say that his mantra had been from sunrise to sunset as he scoured creek beds, bushes and backyards and manholes in and around the neighbourhood, that some kind soul is taking care of a ‘lost dog ‘and has not realised that he is a missing dog. He also thanked the community for allowing him to continue his search, whistling at all hours of the day and night in an attempt to find him.
It was with heavy hearts that they announced today via Twitter that Mighty has been found but had sadly crossed over the rainbow bridge. No indication was given as to what might have been the cause of death. Bloom had said that Mighty was on special medication for his tummy.
Mighty IS so loved and will be forever in our hearts! He was a ‘gift’ from Katy to Orlando a few years ago and we are sure that he always made this family VERY happy.

Bloom's love for his pooch was well documented, he had previously been quoted as saying: "The bond between Mighty and I shows devotion in ways I have not truly understood until now. I am a devoted father & partner, still, there is a reason why they call them “man’s best friend”.
Every dog lover will relate. Rest in peace sweet Mighty.
