The planet's biggest pop band One Direction continue to rule the world's charts with the November 17th release of their brand new album, ‘FOUR’. The album has already hit No.1 on pre-order charts in an astonishing 67 countries (including South Africa), and is the follow up to last year’s ‘Midnight Memories’, the world’s best-selling album of 2013.
‘FOUR’ includes the new worldwide smash hit single ‘Steal My Girl’, which stars Danny DeVito in its hilarious music video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UpsKGvPjAgw). The single is currently simultaneously in the Top 10 on the South African airplay charts as well as in the Top 10 most downloaded singles in the country for this week.
Musically, 'FOUR' expands One Direction's sound to become their most complete album yet. Opening with the crashing stadium piano chords of 'Steal My Girl', the album takes in the likes of the stirring 'Ready To Run' and the unabashed retro pop of 'Where Do Broken Hearts Go.' Slowing the pace for 'Night Changes' (the official second single from the project), the band have once again crafted a spellbinding ballad that easily stands tall with the best of their catalogue to date.
As the band become more involved and their song writing becomes more personal with each record, ‘FOUR’ is set to be their best received album yet. Contributing to 12 of the album’s 16 songs, Harry, Louis, Liam, Niall and Zayn reflect on the incredible journey they’ve made, growing up in public whilst forging friendships on the road.
