No Doubt have announced that they will release a new studio album this September.
The US band, who are fronted by singer Gwen Stefani, revealed that their new LP will be released on September 25 in a video posted on their official website.
They also released a statement talking about the as-yet-untitled record, which will be the follow-up to their 2001 effort 'Rock Steady'. "We are incredibly excited to share the new music with you. Ear candy coming your way!" they wrote, before later adding: "Thank you all so much for your support over the last 25 years. We're really proud of our new album and we hope you love it as much as we do. We'll be posting a lot of updates between now and September as we shoot the video and startrehearsing to perform the new songs live for all of you."
The band had originally intended to release the album before Christmas last year, but revealed in September that they had pushed back its release date so they could "make sure it's the best album we can possibly make". Previously, meanwhile, Stefani described the band's songwriting approach on the LP as "desperate".
Tracks which have been slated to appear on the record previously included 'Undercover', 'Settle Down', 'Easy', 'Heaven' and 'Dreaming The Same Dream', although the band are yet to reveal any of the album's tracklisting. They previously revealed that they were working with production team Major Lazer, aka super producers Switch and Diplo, as part of the album sessions.
