Niall Horan would like a girlfriend who can "play the guitar or something".
The One Direction star was recently linked to English beauty Ellie Goulding but Niall, 19, is giving clues about what any lady who might like to be in her shoes should keep in mind.
"Girls who play instruments are very attractive and very cool so I wouldn`t mind that," he told UK newspaper The Sun.
The teen dropped the name of a popular Los Angeles rock band composed of sisters Este, Danielle and Alana Haim and drummer Dash Hutton.
Niall admits he`s a fan of the ladies` style but says his future significant other could be completely off the radar.
"Haim are very cool but I don`t care if they`re famous or anything. As long as they`re nice," he insisted.
The Irish pop star has no problems getting a date. According to British newspaper the Daily Mirror, he most recently hooked up with 26-year-old Ellie following her July split from actor Jeremy Irvine.
The pair were reportedly seen putting on public displays of affection during the Kings of Leon set at last weekend`s V Festival at Hylands Park near Chelmsford, Essex.
Niall hasn`t had a long-term girlfriend since joining the band after taking part in The X Factor UK in 2010, although he was romantically linked to Made In Chelsea`s Louise Thompson back in May.
Louise later appeared to gush about their time together, calling it the "best night" of her life.
Niall was contrarily tight-lipped about the evening and suggested the reality star could have been talking about anyone else.
"You don`t always think about things like that when you meet someone. But then my name wasn`t mentioned in the show." he shrugged.
