The Recording Academy announced the addition of 25 new songs that will be added to the Grammy Hall of Fame, among these are songs by, David Bowie, Nirvana, Prince and N.W.A.
According to Billboard, for a song to be eligible for such recognition, it must be at least 25-years-old. The Grammy Hall of Fame currently has 1038 recordings including the new additions.
“The Grammy Hall Of Fame represents all genres of music, acknowledging the diversity of musical expression for which The Academy has become renowned,” said The Recording Academy president and CEO Neil Portnow. “Memorable and inspiring, these recordings are proudly added to our growing catalog and are an integral part of our musical, social and cultural history.”
