Ne-Yo's son briefly hospitalised



















R&B star Ne-Yo and his wife suffered a scare this week (begs24Oct16) after their baby son was hospitalised with an undisclosed ailment. New mum Crystal Renay Smith took to Instagram on Thursday (27Oct16) to share a black and white photo of seven-month-old Shaffer Chimere Smith, Jr. lying on a bed in a hospital in Santa Monica, California.

In the accompanying caption, Crystal vowed to always protect her little boy, although she did not reveal why he was under doctors' care."You are so strong and such a fighter," she gushed. "Nothing is going to slow you down! Mommy and daddy are right here baby! We aren't going to let anything happen to you!!!"She added, "In this moment my son has proven to be stronger than me already. We love you so much Pooda! We Can't wait to take you home finally".

Ne-Yo has yet to comment on the family emergency, but Shaffer Jr. is now back home with his parents.Crystal returned to social media on Friday (28Oct16) to update fans, as she thanked her husband for helping her through their tough time."Ain't no man like the one I got (sic)!," she declared.

"It's super important to have a strong partner by your side When life throws you into the worst situation you could ever imagine yourself in. I thank God for this man! I could never have gotten through the past 48 without you! I love you and how much you love our beautiful family. NOT LUCKY JUST BLESSED."

The couple welcomed its first child together in March (16), weeks after tying the knot in an oceanfront ceremony in Rancho Palos Verdes, near Los Angeles in February (16).Ne-Yo also has two young children from his previous relationship with ex-fiancee Monyetta Shaw.
