Mzansi Youth Choir make history on America’s Got Talent

The award-winning group from Soweto, Johannesburg, has received the first-ever group golden buzzer from the judges and are now through to the semi-finals of the 18^th season of the show.

They performed an acapella version of former AGT contestant Nightbirde's song It's Ok, a performance which drew roars from the crowd and brought Simon Cowell to tears. Cowell said it was a “perfect audition”.

 Nightbirde, her real name Jane Marczweski was a season 16 contestant who died of cancer in February 2022.
