Monkees star Peter Tork passes away at 77


The death of Monkees star Peter Tork was announced via his official Facebook page by way of a lengthy statement, no official cause of death was given but it was common knowledge that Peter had been diagnosed with a rare form of tongue cancer in 2009.


Tork was a founding member of the 1960’s pop group The Monkees, famous for their songs Day Dream Believer and I’m a Believer. Tributes have been pouring in from across the globe from fans and celebrities like Brian Wilson expressing their heartfelt condolences.
