Meghan Markle’s demure Givenchy wedding gown was swopped for a sophisticated yet sexy Stella McCartney evening dress for the wedding reception. She looked breathtaking as she appeared on the arm of her husband to make their way to Frogmore House for the official reception. Aside from her dress and Cartier earrings, one of the most talked about accessories was the aquamarine ring she wore on her right hand which had once belonged to Princess Diana. Prince Harry had changed from his military attire into a classic tuxedo.
It was like something out of a movie as they exited Windsor Castle and climbed into a classic 1968 Jaguar convertible with the top down, looking every bit like two movie stars, as they drove away waving to the paparazzi. The Jaguar, by the way, now runs on electricity.
Only 200 guests were invited to the exclusive evening reception where both Harry and his bride made speeches. Now the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, they spent their first night as a married couple in Windsor Castle and will not be going on honeymoon right away.
Their first royal engagement as wife and husband is scheduled at Buckingham Palace on Tuesday.
Congrats to the happy couple!
