The LA County coroner’s office has stated that it will take some time for the cause of death of the US actor to be established as toxicology tests are carried out. In the meantime Perry’s body has been released to his family.
The actor who won fame for playing Chandler in the hit '90s TV sitcom Friends was found dead on Saturday October 28 in his hot tub . He was 54 years old.
In November 2022 Perry released his memoir, Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing. The opening line reads : “Hi, my name is Matthew, although you may know me by another name. My friends call me Matty. And I should be dead.” Thus begins the compelling story of the acclaimed actors battle against substance abuse and his journey to sobriety, all told with 'Chandler like' humour.
