Madonna speaks out about her son's arrest

Madonna’s 16-year-old son, Rocco, was arrested in September and had been recently taken into custody for marijuana possession. 

The singer released a statement, standing by her son, after the news broke: 

I love my son very much. I will do whatever I can to give him the support that he needs, and I ask that you respect our privacy at this time.

Rocco was arrested by London police after neighbours reported him.

His father, filmmaker Guy Ritchie has yet to comment on the arrest.
